Synopsis:

At work in Hoover Dam, Dallas Mack struggles for equal recognition, respect, and pay in a white man’s world. At home in Las Vegas, she struggles to form meaningful connections in her diverse suburban neighborhood. She believes, “when in Rome do as the Romans do,” and since she floats into and out of vastly different social circles, she’s lost all sense of self and connection to the black community. And for some reason she doesn’t understand, Dallas attracts bad luck—not just bad luck, but pure evil.

When Dallas gets upset, strange things happen to metallic objects around her. It seems random at first. Metal fatigue causes turbines to fail at work. Her dog’s tags defy gravity at during an argument at her neighbor’s house. Kitchen knives fall and point in her direction when she’s upset at home. But when she crashes her car and awakens with a mechanical fixator setting her broken arm, these paranormal events amplify.

The bad luck keeps on coming. Dallas falls onto a corpse at a Latino wake. She accidentally assaults a gargantuan cop and gets arrested. And then, just when she relaxes, her neighbor Luca, attacks her at his junkyard. With nowhere left to turn, she recruits the help of three misfit engineers from work. The Amigos spy with drones and muster their best geek gear for battle against Luca. Taking her greatest strength and mounting it onto her greatest weakness, Dallas creates an unstoppable combination weapon to fight Vlad the Impaler inside Hoover Dam.

Enjoy a little Vlad this Easter!
